Buzzy Bees Inn Daycare Center is seeking a dynamic and experienced Director to lead our team and support the continued growth, quality, and success of our organization.
In this role, you will oversee daily operations, guide and support staff, ensure quality childcare, and maintain compliance with applicable childcare regulations, hygiene requirements, and safety standards.
We are looking for a professional leader with a passion for early childhood development, strong communication and organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively with staff, parents, the board, and community partners.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the daily operations of the daycare and after-school program.
Ensure a safe, caring, and child-centered environment.
Lead, supervise, coach, and support staff.
Implement and monitor the pedagogical program and quality of care.
Ensure compliance with childcare regulations, BES(t) 4 Kids requirements, and hygiene and safety standards.
Communicate professionally with parents, staff, the board, and community partners.
Maintain accurate records related to child development, health, safety, attendance, and incidents.
Support staff training, performance evaluations, annual planning, budgeting, and quality improvement.
Requirements
A bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Pedagogics, Education, Child Development, Social Work, Management, or a comparable field.
At least five years of relevant experience in childcare or early childhood education, including at least two years in a leadership role, is considered a plus.
Strong knowledge of child development, pedagogy, safety, hygiene, and quality childcare practices.
Good communication, leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Ability to supervise, coach, and support staff.
Ability to work professionally with children, parents, staff, the board, and community partners.
Good command of English, both spoken and written.
Knowledge of Dutch is considered an asset.
A valid Certificate of Good Conduct (VOG).
What We Offer
A full-time leadership position.
A gross monthly salary of $3,900–$4,900.
200 vacation hours per calendar year, based on full-time employment.
